Waypoint defensive is more than a website and cool videos -- it's a representation of moral and ethical responsibility. As we progressed through our careers it became readily apparent that the general public should become more familiar with their individual rights of self-protection. The average citizen should have knowledge and understanding of firearms in order to appropriately apply those tools in adverse situations. While some would consider sufficient education to exist in a traditional handgun permit course, we believe there is room for improvement considering the broad range of practical application.
At Waypoint Defensive, we believe that the Tennessee Online Handgun Carry Course should be the initial endeavor of the average citizen. Afterwards we recommend a structured training curriculum such as a Concealed Carry Weapon course that applies the basics of firearm knowledge in a real-world scenario.
